Timber Lake West Supports SCOPE!

The Timber Lake West Camp community appreciates how amazing camp is and our efforts this summer will support SCOPE’s mission to provide children from low-income families with access to attend nonprofit, ACA-accredited overnight camps.

Over the last week, our TLW Teens have hosted two incredible events in support of SCOPE! We are thrilled to help advocate for SCOPE’s mission at TLW. Read more about our SCOPE Swim Party and Rumble for SCOPE events below.

SESSION ONE INITIATIVES

SCOPE Swim Party

On July 4, our Teen Ladies hosted a Patriotic themed party at the Pool to honor SCOPE! The goal was to introduce SCOPE to our camp community and spread awareness about SCOPE’s mission to help children from under-served communities gain access to nonprofit, overnight summer camps throughout the country. Campers swam together to honor friendship and integrity, both values that we emphasize in our own Timber Lake West mission, as well as hope to help allow under-resourced campers to experience with SCOPE’s help!

Rumble for SCOPE

The Teen Men celebrated spirit and sportsmanship at our Rumble for SCOPE Night on July 8. This full-camp evening activity was ELECTRIC with energy as we watched the Tiger Tails Rumbles. The whole crowd cheered for the entire hour as each camper rooted for the counselor they predicted to win each match. This will without a doubt go down as one of the best evening activities of the summer! It was awesome to see the Teen Men create and coordinate such a successful event that truly had ALL of campus talking about SCOPE and the importance of camp.

.

Your support will help us to raise funds to provide even more less fortunate children with access to overnight camp through SCOPE, as we know how truly impactful the camp experience is. Click here to learn more about SCOPE!
