Timber Lake West Supports SCOPE!

SCOPE is a not-for-profit organization that is close to our hearts at WEST. Our camp community appreciates the life-changing effects of camp and in keeping with SCOPE’s mission, it is our goal to help ensure as many kids as possible have access to the camp experience. Our efforts this summer and beyond will support SCOPE and send children from underserved families with access to attend nonprofit, ACA-accredited overnight camps. Additionally, if your camper is passionate about SCOPE’s mission and wants to continue their fundraising endeavors at home, please check out the opportunities provided by SCOPE to youth and teen leaders. SCOPE is a perfect organization to inspire ideas for mitzvah projects and other philanthropic ventures. We would love nothing more than for our campers to stay involved year round and help spread the joy of camping to ALL!

Timber Lake West COLOR RUN Supports SCOPE!

On July 15th, our first session campers will participate in a Timber Lake West COLOR RUN to #SupportSCOPE! Campers will run through a rainbow course of color and dye immersing themselves completely in this amazing cause. We cannot wait to see their smiling faces and hear their giggles as they get messy and have fun together.

On August 2nd, our second session campers will participate in a Timber Lake West TOUGH MUDDER to #SupportSCOPE! Campers will run through a muddy obstacle course immersing themselves completely in this amazing cause. We cannot wait to see their smiling faces and hear their giggles as they get messy and have fun together.

SCOPE believes that summer camp is an essential component of the year-round educational continuum and plays a critical role in helping children from underserved communities to thrive. Unfortunately, these children have little or no access to summer camps and programs, resulting in an enormous achievement gap and summer learning loss. SCOPE bridges this gap by making summer camp accessible to as many deserving children as possible.
