Through generous donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers, SCOPE raises funds for summer camp scholarships.

Allocate

SCOPE distributes funds to more than 65 ACA-accredited, nonprofit overnight camps across the United States.

SCOPE campers learn new skills and develop a sense of independence from the magical experience of overnight summer camp.

Our mission, vision, and values center around providing children from low-income families with life-changing opportunities at overnight summer camp to help them to thrive and grow at camp and beyond.

SCOPE Camperships and Counting

Camp Opportunities

SCOPE funds camp scholarships (camperships) to send children who commit to staying in school to nonprofit, American Camp Association-accredited, resident camps which will empower them to develop to their full potential.

Focus on Education

By opening the door to summer camp opportunities with our focus on education, and through our long-term commitment to campers who receive SCOPE support, we seek to inspire and empower them to make positive contributions to their communities and become self-sustaining adults.

Northeast SCOPE campers who graduate from high school and camp will qualify to apply for SCOPE college scholarship through support from the Sanford Lavitt Education Fund.

Bridging the Gap

Summer camp is an essential component of the year-round educational continuum and plays a critical role in helping children from underserved communities to thrive. The vast majority of children in low-income communities have little or no access to summer opportunities, resulting in an enormous achievement gap and summer learning loss. SCOPE bridges this gap by making summer camp accessible to as many deserving children as possible.
