SCOPE’s Hoedown Throwdown

Round up your crew and mosey on over to Daisy Dukes on Thurs, Feb 6, 2025 for a night of fun, connecting, and giving back at SCOPE’s Hoedown Throwdown! This 21+ event is the perfect opportunity for young professionals to unwind and make a difference, so throw on your best cowboy boots and hats and enjoy:

  • Open bar 7-9PM with specialty themed cocktails, delicious bar bites, and live music 🍹🎵🤠
  • Party continues with a cash bar 9-10PM

Please don’t be fooled by the event name – this is a western-themed event, not a square dance. Also, theme dress is not required, but prizes for most creative dress will be awarded.

All proceeds support SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) to help fund overnight summer camp experiences for children from under-resourced communities this summer!

All check contributions can be made out to:
SCOPE, 275 Madison Avenue, Suite 2110, New York, NY 10016

Costume Ideas

We encourage you to come in theme dress,  but it is not required! The best costume will get a prize. 🤠
Stuck on a costume? Don’t worry, come as you are, and we have some items to help put together a look.

Please note: No replica or real weapons will be allowed in the bar as part of a costume, so please leave those accessories off your order list. In addition, please be aware that costumes that can be interpreted as offensive or cultural appropriation will not be tolerated.

About SCOPE

SCOPE believes that summer camp is an essential component of the year-round educational continuum and plays a critical role in helping children from under-resourced communities to thrive. Unfortunately, these children have little or no access to summer camps and programs, resulting in an enormous achievement gap and summer learning loss. SCOPE bridges this gap by making summer camp accessible to as many deserving children as possible.

About the SCOPE Associate Board

Young professionals who are believers and champions of the camp experience can join the SCOPE Associate Board, a growing group of 21+ professionals dedicated to supporting SCOPE’s mission. They volunteer their time and engage young professionals, peer to peer, who share a love of summer camp and understand the important role summer camp plays in the development of children.
