Hi! I hope you are doing well. As you may know, sleepaway camp was a life-changing experience for me. I learned about myself, gained leadership skills, and made life-long friendships. I was fortunate enough to have this incredible experience, but not all children do. That is why I started volunteering with an organization called SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education).
SCOPE gives children from under-resourced communities across the country the opportunity to experience overnight summer camp. This unmatchable experience not only promotes self-growth but teaches children how to be independent and exposes them to different social environments.
